Under the Hood: Not Your Grandma’s Reality

They think this is funny, but they're making an absolute mess of my table.

There are several games that are actually built-into the 3DS system software that allow people who are without too much money to still enjoy the console; a few of which are alternate reality (AR) games. The first of these is called, simply enough, “AR Games”, and it consists of six mini-games are presented using the AR card that comes with the system. There is a target practice game that was aggressively shown at gaming expos like E3, a boulder rolling game, and a Mii and Nintendo character-viewing program that lets you pose and take pictures of various characters around your house. The last few packed in mini-games in “AR Games” are secret until you unlock them, so I won’t spoil the surprise.

Two-Fisted Gaming to Hit the Nintendo 3DS

Recent pictures from well-known Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu shows a new game that allows players to use both hands to control the character on the screen. To display this, Famitsu showed the upcoming 3DS game ‘Touch! Double Pen Sports’ where each game in the cart requires the player to have two styluses to control two different aspects of the game.
